About the Job

We are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to join our client, a Tier 2 Main Contractor to help them finish out a large mixed residential scheme in Tramore, Waterford. This short-term role will last 3-4 months. The project is to lead finishing work on a number of houses and apartments in the development. There is a possibility of continuation of work for the right candidate.

Main Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate all finishing works on the education sector project, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Manage subcontractors and tradespeople effectively to achieve efficient and timely completion of finishing tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor work quality, progress, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the project management team to schedule works and address site issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and documentation of deviations or variations.
- Ensure all finishing works meet regulatory requirements, building codes, and client specifications.


Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman or similar role in construction projects, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
- Ability to interpret drawings, plans, and specifications accurately.
