Structural Engineer with minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in Structural Engineering discipline. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join a small, busy, structures-driven practice in the West of Ireland. If hired you would be managing all engineering aspects of structures projects through design and construction, for public and commercial clients throughout the West. The practice undertakes a wide variety of projects: hospitals, schools, pedestrian bridges and such specialised design work as adventure parks and 35m-tall industrial towers. Responsibilities include preparation of design calculations and analysis, drawings and specifications; structural steel drawing reviews; RFI responses; site inspections of key structural elements; and representing the practice in collaboration with clients, architects, designers and building contractors on design and construction projects. We would anticipate that the first few months would be spent largely in the Kinvara office, after which a hybrid working arrangement could be facilitated. We are ISO Quality and Health & Safety certified. We support training for our staff and in particular attainment of Chartered status with Engineers Ireland and the Institution of Structural Engineers.
