We are a well-established and highly reputable childcare service in South County Dublin. We are not a chain, we are a standalone service and are family run. We have more than 32 years of experience in childcare in Ireland and have staff on our team who have been with us for between 1 and 20 years!! We require EARLY YEARS TEACHERS to join our team and help to keep our little bees buzzing! Person Specifications: Minimum QQI Level 5 in Childcare. Candidates' qualifications must be on the DCEDIY list of recognized qualifications.Experience working with children of 0-3 years an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.Ability to lead, be led and work as part of a team.Kindness, warmth, and responsiveness to the needs of children. Good Communication with children, staff and parents. A sense of humour. Duties and Responsibilities: Encourage children’s natural desire to learn by giving them opportunities to engage in play, discovery and exploration.Help and encourage the children in all their efforts, allowing them to develop self-confidence and independence.Observe the children as they learn and develop with the goal of intervening less and less as the child develops.Co-ordinate varied activities suitable for the age group and create exciting learning experiences that emerge from the children's interests.Provide an atmosphere of calm, order and joy in the classroom.Perform a variety of tasks, such as snack preparation, feeding, nap and rest supervision, nappy changing, potty and toilet training, and engaging in play.Conduct observations and milestone records for the children for the purpose of their Physical, Intellectual, Language, Emotional, and Social development (PILES).Cleaning, tidying and storage of equipment and toys.Maintaining your classroom and garden area, and equipment, to ensure the health and safety of children at all times. Ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.Attend meetings and undergo training as required.Be aware of all policies and procedures and follow same.Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.
