Duties and Responsibilities: Encourage children’s natural desire to learn by giving them opportunities to engage in play, discovery and exploration.Help and encourage the children in all their efforts, allowing them to develop self-confidence and independence.Observe the children as they learn and develop with the goal of intervening less and less as the child develops.Co-ordinate varied activities suitable for the age group and create exciting learning experiences that emerge from the children's interests.Provide an atmosphere of calm, order and joy in the classroom.Perform a variety of tasks, such as snack preparation, feeding, nap and rest supervision, nappy changing, potty and toilet training, and engaging in play.Conduct observations and milestone records for the children for the purpose of their Physical, Intellectual, Language, Emotional, and Social development (PILES).Cleaning, tidying and storage of equipment and toys.Maintaining your classroom and garden area, and equipment, to ensure the health and safety of children at all times.
